Dead Voices On Air ‘Michael and the Angels Fought’ forthcoming release on Lens Records.
Igloo Vacuum
We're Igloo Vacuum and we make stuff.
We do artwork for albums, cds, posters, t-shirts, postcards, or any other thing you can think of. We work fast, let us know what projects you need done: igloovacuum@gmail.com
Here is a rubber stamp we did for the band The Infrasonics made to emulate the classic Hershey’s Bar.
Cult of personality
Like Tom Cruise & John Travolta before us We’ve joined the facebook cult. “Like” us won’t you?
We are big fans of Sam Vicari and his Everly Brothers meets Weezer sound. For the poster we tapped into that late 50’s feel for a rock show that should soon be made into a major motion picture.
Public radio Vocalo.org liked our work so much (see MR RUSSIA Live from Studio 10) they commissioned a piece for the official face of Live from Studio 10. Check out the podcast.
Return of the King
Ahab Rex, one of our favorite returning customers, asked us to go back to the archive of photos we did for him years ago, dig through the negatives and find something that we could “burn to the ground.” We loved the idea and took it quite literally.
MR RUSSIA ‘Live from studio 10’. Reid Miles’ Blue Note Records sleeves was the inspiration for this elusive-cool-fly-on-the-wall look.
Scriptapalooza is a script writers competition for the Hollywood type. Now in their 13th year, we stepped in to give their look a face lift. Here we come Hollywood…
Another poster we did for MR RUSSIA and This Magazine is Haunted doing a free show at the Cubby Bear 7/26.
Camera postcard for an after Pitchfork party at Darkroom Saturday 7/18.
Chris Connelly ‘How This Ends’ out today on Lens Records. We looked at Egon Schiele paintings and made a trip to the fabric store for the elements.
The Chicago Reader held an invite only hoity toity soirĂ©e at the Chicago Urban Art Society to celebrate the best of issue. We dusted off our monocle and took the horse and buggy to see what all the hoopla was about. No speech or Presidential Fitness Awards, just booze, food, art & music with Chicago’s best of awkward alumni. We’re going to Kinko’s and cranking out a forged certificate for our excellent runner up prize.
Chicago Reader: Best rock poster artist
Igloo Vacuum is runner up on the Readers Best rock poster artist 2010
